Jumbo ric rac!

One of the things I bought when I was at the Harrogate Knitting & Stitching show was ric rac. Some jumbo and some teeny tiny. I didn’t have anything in mind for it, it just seemed like a good idea at the time! Like most haberdashery does to me… Anyway, when I got back I started working on a playmat I had been commissioned to make, and when I was laying it out I thought, “hmm, this would look good with a pretty scalloped edge. I know, jumbo ric rac!”. So I found this tutorial which gave me a basic guide on how to attach the ric rac, and used it to make my super cute playmat even cuter! Hooray! And my customer loves it too.

Here’s my finished playmat, the fabrics are from Moda’s Oh Deer by Momo. I’m so pleased with how it turned out!
