Today my little grey Lotta Jansdotter zippered pouch was featured by BeckaBonce on her blog – hop over and have a look here, thanks Becka!
summer evenings
It has been a very hot 27 degrees here today and I have been selling ice creams and drinks at my little boy’s school fair. It’s finally cooled down now and my brain is working again, so I thought I’d come and say hello on my poor neglected blog.
Gooseberries are ripening nicely here, any recommendations for delicious Gooseberry based recipes would be most welcome. They are not the most immediately delicious fruits, bless em – although it seems the squirrels are enjoying them!
Treasury Tuesday
Spring has definitely arrived, and lots and lots of greenery. It’s so lovely. I can even take a walk in the woods and look at the bluebells on my lunchbreak. Lucky me!

What a gorgeous day it has been today! Fingers crossed that’s not our summer over now, hehe.
Anyhow, here are some Etsy lovelies I found for you to rest your eyes on:

Sunday spruce up
Here’s a little job I’ve been meaning to do for a while – jazz up my last year’s hot pink fake converse.
My friend gave me this gorgeous Liberty fabric:
It’s from the Bloomsbury Gardens collection, Liberty Lifestyle fabrics. I just love all the colours and how there’s so much going on. It looks great with plain fuchsia colour.
So, I took out my old shoelace from my shoe & measured it, fortunately it was near enough to the width of my fabric, yay! Cut out a 2″ wide strip across the width (well, tore it actually), folded it in half then in on itself like for binding, pressed it, pinned it, sewed it. Done!
Getting if into my shoe was tricky, I know now why they put those hard bits on the ends of shoelaces!
From this:
Cute, no? Maybe a run through the washing machine would help too…
Now I have to make one for the other shoe before we go out for the day! Bye x
Aah, that’s better
Work in progress
Can you guess what it is yet?!
Ta dah! Bunnies for my bunnies!

Hurry up spring!! It’s time for some sunshine after all this winteriness. Miniature daffs are coming up in my garden, which would indicate that it’s on its way.
We’ve been doing a lot of family things lately, which has been great fun. Plus, something I’ve not really appreciated before – time spent out of the house = less mess inside the house = even more time for fun. I’ve fitted in some time to come up with some new creations for my shop: cute fabric cuffs with button fastenings. They look lovely on, and inject a bit of spring fun into an outfit. Have a little look if you like. They are almost addictive to make, and are a great way to use up those colourful scraps that I can never bear to throw away!
Hmm, now with spring comes spring cleaning, which requires special equipment. I’ll have all these please:

Treasury Tuesday
Wow, well I had a great week off! It was chock full of events though, my little boy’s birthday, my birthday, and Mother’s day. Got a lot of little jobs finished, the type that have been on my mind for ages, so I felt as though I achieved a lot. Not much time for making though, I’ve been getting withdrawal symptoms. I’ve a little project in my head to help me get over them. Watch this space!
In the meantime, here’s a little treasury of goodies made by people local to me. There are some gorgeous things!
